I am a mother, wife, runner and Ph.D student in the Rhetorics, Communications and Information Design (RCID) program at Clemson University. I am the Managing Editor for the WAC Journal, a national peer-reviewed journal on writing across the curriculum. Published by Clemson University, Parlor Press, and the WAC Clearinghouse, The WAC Journal is an annual collection of articles by educators about their WAC ideas and WAC experiences.
I have my Master of Arts in Communications from Queens University at Charlotte and you can check out my research in my digital portfolio. I was a Contributing Editor at QU-Queens University Literary Magazine. Qu is a literary journal, published by the MFA program at Queens University of Charlotte
I’m a communications consultant with over 20 years’ experience in communications, technology and risk for financial institutions.
I serve on the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I help guests plan vacations to the most magical place on earth.
I am an RRCA running coach and I combined my two loves, running and Disney to develop the popular health and fitness blog, Run Disney Mom! This site provides running tips, advice, race reviews, healthy recipes and all things related to running at Disney.
I’m the author of several books, including Candy Around the World, Guilt-Free Cupcakes, Lunch, by me!, A Pet for Emberly and Culinary Duct Tape: Greek Yogurt: Just as versatile, not as tacky. I’ve been married for 21 years to my high school sweetheart and have two beautiful children, ages 16 and 12.
I’ve written for a variety of publications, including Family Fun Magazine, Orbitz, The Charlotte Observer, The Right Bite, Greenwise, Charlotte Parent, Modern Parent and Suburban Woman. I wrote the Fit Family of Foodies blog for Working Mother Magazine and the health and fitness column, Ask Stacy, for My Carolina Town
