These compilations provide excellent perspectives on feminist theories of the body and are important works for scholars to consider. Editors Janet Price and Margrit Shildrick<em>\u2019s <\/em>(2010)<em> Feminist Theory and The Body<\/em> introduces important essays on a wide variety of topics related to the female and body. This work combines key feminist essays covering a comprehensive view of differing feminist theoretical approaches to the body. The contributors offer a range of perspectives on women\u2019s issues related to the body. <em>Writing on the body: Female Embodiment and Feminist Theory <\/em>edited by Katie Conboy, Nadia Medina and Sarah Stanbury (2006) also looks closely at feminist theories of the body with a specific focus on the tensions between women\u2019s lived bodily experiences and the cultural meanings inscribed on the female body. Conboy, Medina and Stanbury provide an overview of the field, starting with the fact that the body has been at the center of feminist theory because historically, women have been determined by their bodies. Booher and Julie Jung (2018) is designed to forge cross-disciplinary alliances between feminist rhetorics, rhetorics of science and feminist science studies. This work theorizes the most recent \u201cmaterial turn\u201d in the intersections of feminist rhetorics and rhetorics of science.
